"Million(s) now requesting will never show"
by eyeuse2badub inj f rutherford in all his wisdom hysterically, stupidly, and boastfully proclaimed the now slogan;.
"millions now living will never die".
donny trump in all his wisdom hysterically, stupidly, and of course boastfully proclaimed that a million supporters requested tickets for his much ballyhooed rally in tulsa!

I thought having large gatherings was bad and dangerous and everyone should stay home. Now you're complaining there weren't enough.
Not only that, but thousands of BLM protesters were right there in Tulsa themselves and police blocked off the entrances and fights ensued hours before and after the rally. But the media simultaneously proclaiming that there were not enough supporters, but enough of a crowd to have a huge fight with thousands of protestors.
Nobody expected a million people to show up. Hypocrisy all around.

Do You Believe Polls Saying Trump Will Lose To Biden?
by minimus ina new fox poll says biden is up by 12 percentage points.
of course, most other polls say trump will be trounced this time around.. do you think the polls might be right this time?

@vidiot: if we have Biden win, we'll have a lot of bellyaching and gnashing of teeth. People on both sides will be extremely unhappy when his VP takes over in a few months and Republicans win back House and Senate.
If Trump wins we have a civil war on our hands. No way the left will let that stand without burning down their cities, then attempts to take over the suburbs will be met with armed resistance.
The biggest thing that will lead to civil war though will be the recovery. Undoubtedly the economy will recover but fewer businesses will want to open up in cities where no or limited police protection is guaranteed. Minneapolis, NYC, Seattle will not recover under current leadership and that will lead to further instability.
Its the same reason LA never really recovered after Al Sharpton's instigated riots there. Now you have a very rich ring where property prices skyrocket and the Western worlds worst examples of homelessness and poverty and drug use in the center. The only areas in LA that fared well after the riots had roof Koreans. Expect to see this all over again.

Aunt Jemima and Mrs.Buttersworth Need To Be Destroyed!
by minimus inwe have to get rid of these racist relics.
i propose that we destroy all these bottles of syrups and burn every pancake box !
we need to get rid of anything that reminds us of anything negative concerning slavery.. in boston they decapitated the head of christopher columbus and got rid of his statue.

The funniest thing about Aunt Jemima was this was an actual real-life person that actually was black and basically a somewhat well-known character during an era of segregation. She never thought it was racist and it made black actors and entertainers more acceptable in advertising and film (which led directly to Jazz, Blues, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, the Jackson Five etc).
She was one of the first black people some children in segregated schools had ever seen when the company took her to white schools to advertise their pancake mix and syrups. This normalized black people for many whites.
She will probably have had much more of a positive impact on black people than George Floyd and pretty much every other bad actor of the last decade whose names are already forgotten (that guy that got shot after attacking a neighborhood watchman, that guy that got shot after charging at police and that guy that got shot after fighting with police).
Where are the TuPac's and the MLK's of today?
An article on the influence of Aunt Jemima on electing Obama (2014): https://madison.com/news/opinion/mailbag/john-morgan-a-story-about-aunt-jemima-s-influence/article_7b13ee21-92d0-5706-8159-563ee8195634.html
An article on the influence of Aunt Jemima on the Civil Rights: https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy-editorial-betye-saar-transformed-aunt-jemima-symbol-black-power
Basically the same leftists now claiming it is racist, want you to forget about how black people forged their own paths, because then they, the white knights, can claim both responsibility and paternalize the black community.

Attorney General Bill Barr...what do you think of him?
by minimus inthe us attorney general appears to be a polarizing figure.
he certainly is not like his predecessor from alabama, jeff sessions .
barr seems to speak his mind and i really don’t think that he has a problem sticking up for what he believes in.. i like him but i also liked sessions.
-

Seems like an honest guy, trying to do his job. Not easy in the current climate, given he's often stuck between Trump, the Left and the Law.
So far, Barr hasn't played favorites like his predecessors. Sessions seemed like a good guy, but simply been in Washington too long and trying to appease too many parties to keep things running, Loretta Lynch before him, we all know about the corruption by now.

What Happened at the Tulsa Rally? I Thought There Were Requests for a Million Tickets?
by RubaDub init just seems rather odd to me that supposedly a million people had tickets or wanted tickets and yet the upper deck of the arena was half empty (or less) and they cancelled the outdoor overflow thing.
just a bit strange based from what was reported the day before.. i wonder if it was no-shows or being overly optimistic..
-
Anony Mous
@sparky1: According to Reuters it did happen though. It seems the press simultaneously is saying there were and there weren't thousands of BLM protestors and throngs of Trump people fighting. According to one, a Trump supporter sprayed pepper spray at a crowd.
So if the groups blocking and antagonizing Trump supporters didn't exist, how did they get sprayed with pepper spray?

According to CBS:
About two hours ahead of Mr. Trump's rally, the National Guard and Oklahoma police formed a police line inside the rally perimeter. Officers also closed a gate along one of the street entrances to the rally.
From Twitter:
Security gates at 4th & Cheyenne are closed right now. News On 6’s Dan Hawk tells me Black Lives Matter showed up & someone (not sure who) closed the gates not long after (around 3:15pm). No one allowed in.
Apparently there were some tussles as BLM protestors formed a line in front of the entrances. Trump supporters left peacefully later.
Of course the MSM wouldn't report on those facts but Twitter and other outlets had many complaining they couldn't get in.

Why Don't Conservatives Take the Lead in Technology?
by RubaDub inwhy is there constant criticism about "liberals" driving new technology?
web sites, social platforms, etc.
if the us is relatively evenly divided, why do all "new" things seem to come from the liberal side?
-
Anony Mous
It depends on what you qualify as liberal and new technology. Plenty of innovation happens amongst conservatives, you just don't hear about it because it's not really interesting to you.
But farmers and oil companies continuously innovate and drive new technology, they are the ones that between the 50s and today increased yields an order of magnitude on the same plots of land. Fracking and shale gas made the US fuel-independent in the last 4-5 years. The primarily conservative military gave you everything from computer chips to GPS while the liberals did everything to defund those war efforts throughout the cold war.
Zuckerberg and Musk aren't thoroughbred liberals either, they lean pretty heavy on the conservative side although their companies are in California, so their staffers are liberal but often come into conflict with their bosses. Zuckerberg is well known to have people like Tucker Carlson and Ben Shapiro over for dinner. Then you have people that used to have conservative values like Bill Gates in the 90s but as time progressed, he became more of a liberal.
Most people I know that have their own business aren't far-right conservatives but are more conservative leaning. People that are liberal-leaning are generally people that rent, don't have a business and are generally younger and less experienced. Business owners don't like high taxes and minimum wage increases because they know from experience it closes businesses and increases poverty and unemployment.
Most Americans are neither far-left nor far-right, most Americans are somewhere in between. I myself am an atheist, a social liberal but fiscally I'm conservative-leaning. I wouldn't mind voting for a Democrat if they had good policies, but right now, that bird has flown the coop. The Democrats will need to learn by losing more elections that the far-left wing of their party is doing more damage to them than they realize. Both Biden and Clinton could've won their elections if they wouldn't have tolerated people like Sanders and an entire pack of far-left ultra-rich idiot candidates this election cycle.

What is Truth?
by Sea Breeze inravi zacharias just passed away the other day.
this is his defense on jesus being the truth.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3n77d4dugp4.

Truth is just a word, it has varying definitions depending on context.
Truth can be an eyewitness testimony they believe is true. That doesn't mean it is factual. Eyewitnesses are notoriously fallible and memories can morph over time.
Truth can be a scientific theory. It is the best explanation we have for certain events but it is possible to invalidate by presenting a better explanation.
Truth can be a mathematical axiom. Something that is true regardless of interpretation. It is very likely that other species or other intelligent life will have come to the same axioms such as the speed of light in a vacuum, the age of the observable Universe, the Planck constants and other absolutes.
Truth can be a religious statement. It's just so because a religious leader says it's so. It is the weakest form of facts and evidence.

Black Lives Matter—Do You Agree With Their Philosophy?
by minimus ini agree with people who say all lives matter.
i think blm is a racist group.
if white people pushed an agenda saying white lives matter, some people would have a conniption..
-
Anony Mous
@Sparky:
you see nothing wrong with this statement?
In affirming that Black Lives Matter, we need not qualify our position
That is a religious creed and the fact they feel they don't need to qualify their position just tells you they have nothing qualitative about it. You just HAVE to accept their position or you are labeled a racist. And you get absolution for being a racist by invoking their creeds.
The BLM movement is a search for the religious and moral void left in secular education and society, it is a religion in itself where you get your morality back by saying the words.
What it does do is give primarily white people in power influence in the black community. They recognize that they have no standing to talk about black issues and poverty so they invented a reason to become part of the black community and be able to talk about black people and their plights. It is taking away the voices of reason within the black community and transferring that power to white, rich, Hollywood liberals that now, by invoking the creeds, get a say in the issues.
